Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas. Jayden was so much fun. She counted down days by "wake ups" so every morning she would come in and say 4 more wake ups, 2 more wake ups and so on. It was so fun to share her excitement. Gavin was just as fun. Of course he doesn't understand Santa yet, but he sure can unwrap a present with the best of them. We are grateful to be able to share the season with our family and friends. We are so blessed in so many ways and count our blessings every day. It is wonderful to feel the "spirit" this time of year and only hope it can last not just in the month of December. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wish you all the best in the new year!

The Lights

We braved the cold and took the kids to the lights. Of course, I froze but the kids had fun. ( I'm told that's what matters. brrrrr )

Happy Birthday Jayden

Jayden turned 5 December first. She still has got the attitude and the drama factor but she definately has a sweet side too. I love her so much. My only wish is that she had turned out more like me instead of her father. UGH!


Jayden begged to have a barbie cake and I have a really hard time buying a pre-made cake that costs 20 to 30 bucks that doesn't even taste good. Soooo I had to make my own. It definately isn't as cute as the store makes but she absolutely loved it.



We went to Classic Fun Center for her birthday. Jayden, Connor, and Berkley had a blast riding scooters and playing on the bouncy toys. It was a blast!

5K

November 1 was the " First Dam Run " up in Logan. I am trying to become a better runner to help me in my triathlons so I enter these races for some practice. I talked my sister Kristie into doing it with me. This was her first race and I was so proud of her. I was able to beat my best time so I was happy about that and I was ecstatic that my sister did so well. We had a lot of fun.

Happy Halloween

We had a fun Halloween up in Logan at my sister's house. We first went to the trunk or treat and then Kevin took all the kids around the neighborhood. Of course we have way too much candy but it was a blast. Gavin was a little unsure at first but after a couple pieces of candy being dropped in his bucket he really got into it. He thought it was pretty cool that people just kept giving him more and more candy. Both Jayden and Gavin had so much fun.

Kids say the darndest things!

It recently was Grandma Reeves birthday. I told Jayden we needed to go and get Grandma a present. She looked at me and in all seriousness she said " Let's go get Grandma a savings bond " It just made me laugh.

A fun weekend

We had season tickets to Lagoon this year so we went for the last time on Friday. We have had so much fun this summer going to Lagoon. The kids have such a blast every time we go. Jayden is going to be bummed when she realizes we can't go in the winter.

My little Samurai

Saturday we took a three hour ( seemed like a 6 hour ) drive to Vernal for Brandi and Eric's wedding.

After the wedding we had some time to kill before the reception so we visited the Dinosaur Museum. We got to see a T-Rex, mammoth,and many other big dinasaurs. The kids even got to dig for bones.

The Big 2

Gavin's 2nd birthday was September 25th. I can't believe my little guy is two. He is so much fun and I may be biased but he is a dang cute kid! He thought it was so much fun to blow out his candle. It only took a couple of tries before he got it out.

Buds

Connor, Jayden, Lila, and Gavin
These four kids have so much fun together. While Jayden and Connor play, Lila and Gavin follow right behind mimicking and laughing. As you all know Gavin does not talk very much, but to spite his mother he did say " Lila " before he said " Mom ". He use to get the cheesiest grin and get so embarrassed when you mentioned Lila's name. It was absolutely adorable. They play so well together but they have it out sometimes too. Connor and Jayden are together pretty much everyday and you would think they would get sick of each other, but they are always wanting to play more. When Connor went to Arizona for the weekend,Jayden was on constant watch every day waiting for him to get home. Boy was that a long weekend! I'm glad they have such great friendships even at this age.

Big Boy Bed

Gavin made the transition from a crib to a bed about a month ago. Like his sister Jayden, he had no problem with the change. Luckily they are both like dad and have no problem sleeping anytime or anywhere.

Annual Bear Lake Camping Trip

Another fun year at Bear Lake. The kids enjoyed playing in the water and having fun on the beach. This is always so much fun. We have been coming here since I was really little.

Hogle Zoo

Unlike her mother, Jayden loves the zoo. Along with her buddy Connor, we walked around looking at the animals.

Petting Zoo

Here is Jayden and Gavin at the Petting Zoo. You know you love your kids when you will take them to a place you absolutely despise. I hate animals!

The Minster Family Cruise

This event took place a year ago, but because it was one of my greatest memories, I had to include it in my blog. We went to the Southern Carribean. We stopped at four gorgeous islands. Half Moon Cay, St. Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turks. It truly was a blast and we have another cruise booked for January.
