Another vacation has come and gone. Memories have been made and good times were had by all. I only wish I were still there!
We flew into San Jaun, Puerto Rico and started our 7 day cruise hitting five gorgeous islands along the way. We boarded the ship and was eating lunch when some crazy lady came toward us yelling surprise. That crazy lady was my sister Kristie. Her and her husband had held onto a secret for months. So our first initial group of 4 grew to a group of 6. Kevin, myself, Ashley, Sean, Kristie, and Tim. We had so much fun. The islands were beautiful and the weather was absolutely perfect. We visited St. Thomas, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, and St. Maarten.
St. Thomas--- We took a taxi to Megan's Bay to swim, snorkel, and relax on the beach.
Barbados--- We toured some of the island and made a few stops along the way. We went inside Harrison Caves, visited some cool hot spots, and made friends with a monkey.
St. Lucia--- We boarded a catamaran and sailed to the Pitons ( think Tetons of the Caribbean ). What a beautiful sight that was. We also pulled into an inlet and went snorkeling. It was the best snorkeling I have ever seen. We were able to see a ton of fish, sea life, and coral.
St. Kitts--- We rented scooters and drove around the entire island. SO FUN! We were able to see where the Atlantic sea meets the Caribbean sea and that was quite spectacular. We visited the Brimstone Hill Fortress. It was so big and so interesting to get an insight of what went on there. We also were able to see tons of monkeys in their natural habitat. They were too fast to get any good pictures though :(
St. Maarten--- Another fun beach day. We rented wave runners and had fun jumping waves. I must say that being out in the water on wave runners in the ocean is alot different that being on a lake in Utah. We were praying that we wouldn't fall off and have to bob around with the sharks :)
Well there you have it. We had a blast and enjoyed the islands, the company, and the good times. Too bad it is over :( I now have 11 months to look foward to our next big trip. DISNEYWORLD :)
