Second Grader

When did my little girl grow up?

Look out, Jayden is a big second grader!

Jayden and Berklee have been friends for many years. I asked her how much she paid her teacher to get them sitting next to each other in class.

Summer Recap

It is hard to believe that another summer is coming to an end :( We have stayed busy having fun and I am so bummed it is almost over. Here is a recap of what we have been up to this summer. Camping, swimming, playing, and many trips to Lagoon.

Fun with friends

We took a little mid-week getaway with some friends for some much needed R&R. We stayed in a condo up in the gorgeous valley of Eden.

Dinner at the local Mexican Restaurant. YUMMY!

Swimming, ping pong competitions, frisbee, cards, laughing, more laughing, hanging out.

Mountian Biking at Snow Basin

Ragnar 2011

Pre-race smiles!

Ragnar Tats

Running up Trappers Loop and Snow Basin. I am showing thumbs up but I am thinking thumbs down!

Casey, Lexi, Brandi, and me after first run when we are all still in good spirits!

Because of a very long winter, race officials had to clear out the path for the run up Gaurdsmans Pass. Both sides of the road looked like this.

It is not ok for there to be snow in the middle of June!

Spring Break

On a whim, we decided to take off on a little vacation for spring break. We headed south to warmer places. We drove to Hurricane and stayed there the first night. On our way there we stopped in Beaver and ended up having to get a new water pump for the car. Gotta love unexpected car expenses :) The kids swam in the indoor swimming pool and the adults played cards and laughed all night. The following morning we drove to Zion National Park. It was so much fun sight seeing and hiking. What a gorgeous place! After a day spent in Zion, we drove to Mesquite and stayed at the Casablanca for two nights. We swam and relaxed poolside while enjoying the fabulous weather. We ended up running into Karl Malone and got to chat with him for a bit. It was so funny though because when they found out that my mom works at Browning Arms, my mom was the one that became a celebrity. They seriously thought that was the coolest thing. It was a wonderful little getaway with my parents and my sister and her kids. Too bad we had to come back to SNOW!

Waiting in the giant rocking chair outside the service station while our car got fixed.

What a gorgeous state we live in. I am so thankful for the beauty of Utah and all the different kinds of scenery we are able to enjoy.

The weather was in the mid 80's. Back home it was in the mid 40's.

These are the moments I cherish. No really, this little guy was a handful and when he finally chilled out and took a nap we had to savor the moment ;)

Look, I am almost as tall as Karl Malone!
